THE AIM OF THE TRAINING

Getting to know paragliding, learning necessary commands, gaining the skill to safely take-off, fly and land. The quality of your training is quite important. Because it forms a strong foundation for the skills you will gain for your flight career. Learners will start the course with a 12-hour theoretical program which they will make use of during each stage of the paragliding sport. In addition to these lessons, learners can achieve an adequate wing controlling capability with practices on the ground. After theoretical lessons are completed, the learner will be subject to the test of normal and emergency procedures and the first stage of the course will end.

The learners who complete theoretical courses will start the next stage, practices on the ground. Practices on the ground are quite important for the wing control. The learner will try to get used to the reactions of the wing by practicing how to control the wing on the ground, holding the wing above the head in landing, take-off and running positions. There are checks that must be done before each flight. The necessary procedures are checking for the wind before take-off, laying the wing on the ground and preparing it, takeing off, controlling the wing during the flight and landing. The more you practice on the ground the more easily you will overcome the possible problems. During practices on the ground, it is aimed to develop reflex groups we need for flying, take-off and landing. The learners who have learned how to control the wing on suitable fields will do minimum 10 low-altitude flights in order to do more practices for take-off, flying and landing from hills of 10-30 meters.

The learners who have completed their low-hill practices and practices on the ground will fly from a higher altitude under the supervision of their trainers. In the take-off and landing area, our trainers will guide the trainer via amateur radios during the flight and reinforce what they have learned. The aim is to make learners improve the way they plan their flights on their own by decreasing the interference in flights. Training flights are video recorded and they are evaluated by trainers after the flight so that learners can gain perfect flight technique. Learners will complete their trainings by doing minimum 7 flights from hills of 60 meters at minimum and 350 meters at maximum.

The ones having finished the beginner's course can join the advanced paragliding courses if they want. Regular attendees of courses can become trainer, tandem, aerobatics, paramotor and competition pilots by attending P3 (Club Pilot) and P4 (Pilot) trainings, which are the next stages. Our club is an active training institution across the country where any kind of training on paragliding is given by experienced trainers it has.
